اے شمع تیری روشنی میرے دل کو بہت رلاتی ہے
آنکھوں میں نیند آئے نہ تیری یاد مجھے ستاتی ہے
اے شمع تو ہے موم کی پتھر سا کیوں ہے دل تیرا
اپنے ہی تو پروانے کو زندہ کیوں جلاتی ہے
تو شمع خوبصورت ہے اور جلتی ہے تو راتوں کو
تیری یہ ہی سادگی شمع ہر دل کو ہی بھاتی ہے
تو شمع ہے جلنا کام تیرا خود جل کر کرے ا جالا تو
بے جرم دیوانے ہیں تیرے کیوں ان کو تو ترساتی ہے
تو شمع ہے ایک لاکھوں میں نہیں ہے تیرا جوڑ کوئی
لاکھوں پروانے مرتے ہیں جب شمع تو سو جاتی ہے
تو موم کی دل ہے دھاگے کا جو غیروں کے لیے جلتا ہے
وہ سیف کمالی شاعر ہے جسے دھوئیں میں تو اڑاتی ہے
