ہو گی کوئی وجہ جو وہ ویسا نہیں رہا

ہو گی کوئی وجہ جو وہ ویسا نہیں رہا

کیا ماجرہ ہوا یہ ابھی زیر ِغور ہے

وہ شخص گو کہ مہرباں تھا نرم خُو بھی تھا

ہم سا نہ ہو سکا وہ، یہی بات اور ہے

پھر سے بیان ہو گی ابھی داستانِ غم

خاموشیوں کا آج یہاں کتنا شور ہے

آؤ کہ پوچھ آئیں تو کس حال میں ہے وہ

آنکھیں چُرا رہا ہے ، کیا دل میں چور ہے

آخر بڑھا کے ہاتھ اُسے تھام ہی لیا

وارثؔ کے جیسے وہ نہیں، یہ کوئی اور ہے
