BISE AJK (Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Azad Jammu and Kashmir) began its working as a commanding body in the year 1973. The inception of the board was fundamental as there was no some other educational board in Azad Jammu Kashmir to oversee and handle the educational issues and to lead matric level exams.

AJK Board arranges the exams of those instructive institutions which are associated with AJK board in AJK and its purview territories which are Mirpur, Poonch, Kotli, Bagh, Muzaffarabad, Neelum and Bhimber. For year 2019, board will conduct Matric examination in March whereas the date sheet for these exams are uploaded one month before the initiation of exams.

AJK Board tries to keep the results unprejudiced and impartial. Matric Results 2019 will be declared in July or August.
