Sumaira FH Published January 19, 2019 | 07:31 PM
The Agriculture Department has decided to conduct resistivity meter survey at all tubewells across the province in order to examine suitability of underground water
According to a handout issued here on Saturday, the water resistivity survey was a need of the hour and it would be conducted at all tubewell sites across the province.
The field wing of the Agriculture Department has been given target to ensure 15 resistivity meter survey in every month in each district.
The handout said that underground water level has decreased to dangerous level due to installation of large number of tubewells and extraction of large quantity of water across the province. It has resulted in availibility of only saline water at more than70 per cent tubewells.
