AJK PM Terms Plantation Inevitable To Meet Challenges Of Global Warming, Pollution

Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir(AJK), Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that protection of saplings must be ensure after plantation that is inevitable for meeting future challenges of global warming and environmental pollution
MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jan, 2018 ) :Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir(AJK), Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that protection of saplings must be ensure after plantation that is inevitable for meeting future challenges of global warming and environmental pollution.
He was addressing while chairing a meeting regarding the forestation here Wednesday.
Minister for Forest, Sardar Mir Akbar, Secretary Forest Zahoorul Hassan Gillani, DG Forest, Abdul Rouf Qurashi and other high officials of department were present on the occasion.
He also directed forest department to ensure Watershed Management Plan and protect forests from land erosion and stop deforestation. He directed measures to protect forests from wildfire and constitute local committees in this regard besides taking steps for planting trees at all roadsides of highways.
