District Administration To Plant 3 Million Trees

District administration Peshawar in collaboration with Forests Department will plant 3 million trees in the district. This was stated by Additional Deputy Commmissioner (ADC), Peshawar Shahid Ali Khan while planting a tree on the occasion of the World Forests Day here Wednesday.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Mar, 2018 ) :District administration Peshawar in collaboration with Forests Department will plant 3 million trees in the district. This was stated by Additional Deputy Commmissioner (ADC), Peshawar Shahid Ali Khan while planting a tree on the occasion of the World Forests Day here Wednesday.

Other officials of the district administration were also present on the occasion. The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration with the cooperation of the Forests Department will plant 3 million saplings in the district.

He said that local community will also be included in the drive and they will be provided free plants. Similarly, he said that 3000 members of the DC Volunteers' Force will also be included in the campaign.

He said that planting of maximum trees is necessary to arrest environmental pollution. On this occasion, he also appealed the general public that during the current spring season, every citizen should plant at least one tree and play active role in the camapign in the abolition of environment.
