Farmers Advised To Cultivate Wheat By Nov 20

Punjab agriculture department advised the farmers to cultivate wheat till November 20 for achieving higher yield.

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2018 ) :Punjab agriculture department advised the farmers to cultivate wheat till November 20 for achieving higher yield.

Assistant director agriculture information Naveed Asmat Kohloon in a statement said that farmers should use 50 kg/acre wheat seed, if the crop was cultivated on time. However, the wheat seed quantity should be enhanced to 60 kg/acre when it would be cultivated from November 21 to 30.

He further suggested farmers to cultivate recommended varieties including Lasani 2008, Faisalabad 2008, Punjab 2011, Aas 2011, Millat 2011, Glaxy 2013, Ojala 2016, Borlag 2016, Johar 2016, Gold 2016, NN Gandum 1 and Aanaj. The wheat seed could be obtained from Seed Corporation and authentic dealers.

He also observed if the farmers have seeds, produced by themselves, then they should get it graded from the department.

He urged the farmers to contact department for any advisory.
