Farmers asked to cultivate maize by Feb 15

The Agriculture Department has called upon farmers to ensure maize cultivation between January 15 to February 15

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jan, 2019 ) :The Agriculture Department has called upon farmers to ensure maize cultivation between January 15 to February 15.

Assistant Director Agriculture (Information) Naveed Asmat Kahloon said in a statement here Monday that spring maize cultivation would have 20-25 per cent more production than the seasonal maize cultivation.

F He said farmers should select Pearl MM Yellow, Malkah 2016, FH-949, WH 1898 and FH 1046 varieties for cultivation. Similarly, 8 to 10-kg seed should be used in one acre, he suggested.
