Punjab Irrigation And Drainage Authority Decides To Hold Election Of Farmer Organization

Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority (PIDA) Tuesday decided to conduct election of farmer organization in water board areas of Faisalabad Lower Chenab Canal System.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2018 ) :Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority (PIDA) Tuesday decided to conduct election of farmer organization in water board areas of Faisalabad Lower Chenab Canal System.

Phase-wise elections of 85 Farmer Organizations of East Area Water Board of Lower Chenab canal whereas 67 farmer organization of Western Area Water Board would be conducted, says a handout issued here.

PIDA has issued a formal notification in this regard. Election of 85 Farmer Organization on 3875 "Khal Panchaiten" in East Area Water Board on Lower Chenab Canal would be conducted which would cost approximately above Rs 2.4 million.

Similarly, Election of 67 Farmer Organization on 2725 "Khal Panchaiten" in Western Area Water Board on Lower Chenab Canal would cost approximately above Rs 2 million.
