Rs 186 Million 300 Dairy Farms Mega Project Launched In AJK

Under the spirit to create self-job opportunities for the common man in AJK the State government Tuesday launched Rs 186 million integrated project for the establishment of at least 300 Dairy Farms in different parts of the territory
Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan and AJK Agriculture and Livestock Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the AJK Prime Minister Secretariat on Tuesday to materialize the gigantic plan.
Secretary agriculture and livestock Raja Tariq Masood Khan and zonal chief agriculture development bank signed the agreement.
AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, senior officials of the State Agriculture and Livestock department and ADBP attended.
It was told on this occasion that under the project the livestock and dairy production department would extend the services of their expertise. Every dairy farm would contain at least 5 buffalos and cows for which the ADBP would extend the loan of amounting to Rs 1 million rupees. The mark up on loan would be paid by the department concerned.
The farm holder would return the amount of loan within 3-5 years. The animals would also be insured while average a dairy farm is expected to give more than 1.2 million annual incomes.
The overall annual income of these farm houses is expected to be Rs 383.30 million.
