Russia May Double Wheat Exports to Mexico Next Agricultural Year - Grain Quality Center

Russia may double its wheat exports to Mexico next agricultural year (starting from July 1) up to 1.5 million tonnes, Director of the Russian Federal Center of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain and Grain Products Yulia Koroleva told Sputnik on Wednesday

BUENOS AIRES (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 27th February, 2019) Russia may double its wheat exports to Mexico next agricultural year (starting from July 1) up to 1.5 million tonnes, Director of the Russian Federal Center of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain and Grain Products Yulia Koroleva told Sputnik on Wednesday.

"If we manage to reach an agreement and the demand will remain at a high level, we will be able to increase wheat exports to Mexico up to 1.

5 million tonnes next year ... There is a relevant opportunity to increase grain exports up to 5 million tonnes per year," Koroleva said.

She added that the parties were also discussing deliveries of barley, buckwheat and oat.

Mexico is the biggest importer of Russian grain in Latin America buying averagely 750,000 tonnes of grain annually. Within seven month of this agricultural year, Russia has already delivered 501,000 tonnes of grain to Mexico.
