The irrigation reform department will complete work regarding the installation of 1000 solar systems in 100 days.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2018 ) :The irrigation reform department will complete work regarding the installation of 1000 solar systems in 100 days.

A spokesman for the Punjab Agriculture department said this here on Wednesday. He said installation of solar system to run drip irrigation system and to cultivate vegetables tunnel technology was also being installed across the province.

These initiatives would help in promoting profitable cultivation and saving water besides reducing yielding expenses, he maintained.

He said interested farmers could download application forms from website www.ofwm.agripunjab.gov.pk or could get them from the offices of divisional director agriculture/deputy director/assistant director agriculture (Reform Irrigation).

The spokesman said that 80 per cent subsidy was being provided on installation of solar systemsand 50 per cent on installation of tunnel technology.
