At the Expo, the delegation learned about the latest healthcare technology and attended sessions on topics ranging from infectious diseases to developments in clinical lab testing.

"An important focus of our work in the U.S.
Embassy in Islamabad is building connections between Pakistani and American businesses in order to increase trade between our two countries," said Cheryl Dukelow, Commercial Counselor at the U.
S.
Embassy in Islamabad. Each year the U.S. Commercial Service recruits and leads 150 to 200 members of Pakistan's business community to trade shows in the United States as part of the International Buyer's Program.
This year the commercial service has led Pakistani delegations to U.S. trade shows focusing on consumer electronics, poultry and processing equipment, restaurants, construction, natural homeopathic products, smart grid technology, and electricity transmission, distribution, and technology.
Upcoming programs will include the international woodworking fair, the farm progress show, and solar power international. These trade shows are an essential part of the continued U.S. commitment to increase economic growth and stability in Pakistan.
