Bahrain Interested In Strategic Partnership With Russia On LNG - Ambassador

Bahrain is interested in strategic cooperation with Russia on the liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to the kingdom and wants to jointly sale LNG to other Persian Gulf states, Bahrain's Ambassador to Moscow Ahmed Abdulrahman Saati told Sputnik

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st March, 2019) Bahrain is interested in strategic cooperation with Russia on the liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to the kingdom and wants to jointly sale LNG to other Persian Gulf states, Bahrain's Ambassador to Moscow Ahmed Abdulrahman Saati told Sputnik.

According to the ambassador, the construction of a terminal to receive and regasify Russian LNG in Bahrain is over and the first test supplies will start soon.

"Consultations with Russian companies are currently underway to provide supply of gas to these platforms and sign strategic partnership [deals] that would not be limited to selling and buying," the ambassador said, adding that such strategic partnership would allow the two states to jointly sell LNG to the Persian Gulf.
