BEIJING (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th August, 2018) Trade and economic relations between Russia and China have good potential for continued development in various fields, including in technologies, and as such, the Chinese authorities are ready to facilitate the establishment of contacts between business representatives of the two countries, deputy head of the Administrative Committee of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, Sheng Licheng, said on Friday.

Earlier in the day, within the framework of the World Robot Conference in Beijing, the Russian-Chinese forum for cooperation in the field of robotics, was held. Companies from both countries, the Russian Association of Robotics, Russian Trade Mission in China and Chinese authorities all participated in the event.

"Last year I was very impressed by the fact that our Russian colleagues told us about the development of this industry and about their experience.

We understand that for us, there are many opportunities for future interaction ... We expect that we will be able to share the information about out Russian partners with our enterprises so that they could get acquainted with the potential opportunities for partnership with Russia, and we would be happy if our Russian partners show interest in exploring the possibilities of our zone of technical and economic development," Sheng told reporters.

According to Sheng, the relations between Russia and China are highly complementary in the trade and economic sphere, and there are favorable conditions for the development of cooperation in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area.
