Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Friday urged the government to complete the modernization of two oil refineries as soon as possible so that Minsk could buy oil on the global market instead of "begging" for it

MINSK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th April, 2019) Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Friday urged the government to complete the modernization of two oil refineries as soon as possible so that Minsk could buy oil on the global market instead of "begging" for it.

"Due to the current circumstances, special attention must be paid to completion as fast as possible of two oil refineries. So that we would not go begging, bowing to someone, but would buy oil on the global market like everyone, refine it in our country and make some profit. We are close to completion, we need to go faster," Lukashenko said during his annual address to the people and the parliament.
