The Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry (Belneftekhim Concern) estimates its April revenue losses from the suspension of petroleum product shipments over problems with the quality of Russian oil at about $100 million, the deputy chairman of the board of Belneftekhim said on Thursday

MINSK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th April, 2019) The Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry (Belneftekhim Concern) estimates its April revenue losses from the suspension of petroleum product shipments over problems with the quality of Russian oil at about $100 million, the deputy chairman of the board of Belneftekhim said on Thursday.

"Now, we assessing April's losses.

Today they amount to about $100 million in the form of lost revenues from the sale of petroleum products," Vladimir Sizov told reporters.

On Tuesday, BelOil Deputy General Director for Commercial Affairs Sergey Grib said that Belarus had paused exports of light oil products to Poland, Ukraine and the Baltics over problems with the quality of oil coming from Russia via the Druzhba pipeline. Russian state-owned transport monopoly Transneft had confirmed the high content of chlorides in the oil and announced the adoption of measures to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
