Calvey's Arrest Did Not Affect Attitude of Italian Investors in Russia - Intesa Bank Chief

The arrest of US investor Michael Calvey, the founder of the Baring Vostok investment fund, did not affect the attitude of Italian investors working in Russia: there is confidence that there are no political motives behind this, Bank Intesa board chairman Antonio Fallico told Sputnik on Friday on the sidelines of the "Connecting Eurasia - from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean" conference

BRUSSELS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th March, 2019) The arrest of US investor Michael Calvey, the founder of the Baring Vostok investment fund, did not affect the attitude of Italian investors working in Russia: there is confidence that there are no political motives behind this, Bank Intesa board chairman Antonio Fallico told Sputnik on Friday on the sidelines of the "Connecting Eurasia - from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean" conference.

"I think not. We are all adults, so as not to interfere in legal proceedings," Fallico said when asked whether the Baring Vostok case affected the attitude of Italian investors.

"We are confident of one thing: there are no political motives behind this entire story. Therefore, no one should argue on these topics, including our friends from Baring Vostok," he said.
