MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 06th December, 2018) Russia's gross domestic product (GPD) growth figure for 2018 is expected to stand at 1.6-1.7 percent, according to a bulletin published by the central bank's research and forecasting department on Thursday.

"Judging by the leading indicators of economic activity, the gross domestic product will grow 1.6-1.

The bulletin does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the central bank, which said earlier that the economic growth would be between 1.5 and 2 percent.

The analysts also said the GDP growth in the first quarter of 2019 would slow down to 1 percent year-on-year after November's oil prices slumped to just over $55 a barrel.
