BEIJING (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 27th April, 2019) China is asking Russia to increase the amount of Russian gas delivered through the Power of Siberia pipeline, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday, adding that Russia was ready to fulfill this request.

"The volumes of natural gas that China needs are growing.

Moreover, Chinese partners are now asking us to consider the possibility to increase deliveries through the Power of Siberia pipeline, which will be launched in the end of the year already. Technological characteristics of the pipeline allow doing this, and we will do this," Putin said at a press conference following the Belt and Road summit in Beijing.
