`Comprehensive Tour Programme Chalked Out For Junior Foreign Diplomats'

Director General Foreign Service Academy Syed Ibn-e-Abbas Monday said the academy had chalked out a comprehensive tour programme for junior foreign diplomats of different friendly countries.
Talking to APP at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) he disclosed that after completing the tour of Sialkot, the junior foreign diplomats would also visit Lahore, Karachi and Muzaffarabad (AJK).
The aim of the visit to SCCI was to enable the diplomats to exchange their viewpoint with the members of the chamber on different issues of mutual interest including expansion of trade, he said.
Director General Foreign Service Academy was of the opinion the tour programme would be supportive for the diplomats in creating awareness about the unique export culture and industrial set-up of Sialkot.
The trainees of different friendly countries would suggest their governments to take necessary step for expansion of trade, economic cooperation with Pakistan, he said.
The DG further stated that the visit of diplomats to SCCI would surely pave the way for developing better understanding between business communities of friendly countries as well as enhancing strong trade and economic ties.
Earlier, SCCI Senior Vice President Waqas Akram Awan while addressing the junior diplomats expressed the hope that the relations between Pakistan and countries of the visitors would further strengthen.
The SVP on this occasion apprised the visitors about the unique culture of Sialkot and industrial set-up producing specialized products which were supplied to top brands and buyers all over the globe.
