CPEC To Improve Connectivity, Socio- Economic Condition Of Country: Kanwal Shauzab

Parliamentary Secretary for Planning, Development and Reforms Kanwal Shauzab here on Thursday said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would uplift the socio-economic condition of the country by providing global connectivity and regional integration.
She said that the incumbent government had expanded the scope of CPEC, through increasing industrial and trade cooperation through market excess and cooperation, modern agriculture technology and innovation to get benefit from China's experience.
Kanwal said that CPEC provided huge opportunities to a common platform and connectivity to the market of three billion people living in South and Central Asia including middle East and African Region.She said that CPEC would have a considerable impact on employment opportunities and enhance the industrial growth for the socio- economic uplift of the country.
The Parliamentary Secretary said through the prudent economic policies of the government new trade and investment by financial flow would bring peace and prosperity in the region.
She said that CPEC has enhanced the economic and trade connectivity between region countries for improving competitiveness and also progressed in global value chain.
While highlighting the CPEC benefits, she said that after the completion of CPEC, local people would get better living standard and also reduce the disparities in remote regions of the country.
Kanwal said that in recent visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to China both of the countries have signed 15 bilateral Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) and agreement for enhancing cooperation in different sectors including investment, infrastructure and industrial cooperation between two countries.
Now both the countries have focused on Industrial and agriculture cooperation for enhancing industrial growth and productivity in agriculture sector of the country.She said that now both the friendly countries were exploring the new avenues to strengthen cooperation in vocational and technical education.
On the occasion, Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and Senator Nauman Wazir Khattak, said Pakistan needed to work on innovation and modern technology to compete the global market.He stressed the need for enhancing the academia and industrial linkage to conduct research with local industries to create local baseness model for development in different sector.
