Decision To Set Up Special Economic Zone (SEZ) In Sialkot Hailed

President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI) Khawaja Masood Akhtar has lauded the decision of the government for setting up Special Economic Zone (SEZ) along the Sialkot-Lahore motorway.
SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2018 ) : President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI) Khawaja Masood Akhtar has lauded the decision of the government for setting up Special Economic Zone (SEZ) along the Sialkot-Lahore motorway.
Talking to APP here, he said establishment of SEZ in the city would be supportive in further accelerating the pace of export activities and open new vistas of development and prosperity in the area.
He said "we suggested the government to develop proposed SEZ on Sialkot-Lahore Motorway near Wazirabad to encourage the industrial sector of golden triangle (Sialkot,Gujranwala and Gujrat districts).
" The President SCCI said regular functioning of SEZ near Wazirabad would enable the industrial sector of Sialkot, Gujranwala, Gujrat and adjoining areas to play their instrumental role in boosting economic activities.
The SCCI, he said had taken various steps for the promotion of women entrepreneurs enabling them to start their independent business and play role in enhancing the city's export volume. A women resource centre was successfully functioning in the Chamber and extending guidance and support, he added.
