Dubai Customs Honors Strategic Partners In CSR Initiatives

In conjunction with the International Volunteer Day, which is observed annually on 5th December, Dubai Customs organized an award ceremony to honor its strategic partners and sponsors who participated in the Department’s voluntary initiatives in 2018
Dubai (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Dec, 2018 ) In conjunction with the International Volunteer Day, which is observed annually on 5th December, Dubai Customs organized an award ceremony to honor its strategic partners and sponsors who participated in the Department’s voluntary initiatives in 2018.
“In line with the Year of Zayed,Dubai Customs launched 60 voluntary charity, awareness, health and safety, sports and cultural initiatives” said Ahmed MahboobMusabi, Director of Dubai Customs “We are happy for the success that our Ghayyath Voluntary Team achieved in carrying out these initiatives. This reflects our dedication and commitment towards charity and corporate social responsibility following the vision and efforts of the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sulatn Al Nahyan”. Musabih added: “With the approach of Expo 2020, volunteerism is gaining more weight, and this trend will help show the UAE in the best possible way”.
Musabih thanked the sponsors and strategic partners for their significant role in supporting these initiatives. During the ceremony a video was displayed on the Dubai Customs CSR and voluntary achievements carried out by Ghayyath Team during the Year of Zayed. On top of these is the GharsZayed (Saplings of Zayed) Initiative which saw the planting of 4,000 saplings in a one square kilometer area in Al Marmoum in Dubai, and“Zad Al Khair (Welfare Food)” initiative that aimed at providing basic needs of food, donated by the Department’s staff, to needy families. Director of Dubai Customs awarded the partners which included Dubai Police, Emirates Macaroni Factory, National Trading & Developing Establishment, Al Huraiz Packaging, Barari Group, Novartis, Tarahum Charity Foundation, and Ihsan Charity Association.
