Eurasian Economic Commission Plans to Sign Cooperation Deal With ASEAN in November

SOCHI (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th October, 2018) The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) intends to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations during the ASEAN summit in Singapore in November, Chairman of the board of the EEC Tigran Sarkisyan said Wednesday.

"We are focused on ASEAN now. We intend to conclude a memorandum with ASEAN this year ... We intend to sign [the document] in Singapore," Sarkisyan said on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club.

Singapore is set to host the ASEAN and the East Asia summits on November 11-15 and November 14-15 respectively.
