Exports To Afghanistan Falls 24.8% In 3 Quarters

The country's exports to Afghanistan decreased by 24.8% percent during July-March (2018-19) to US $883.26 million against the exports worth $1.175 billion recorded during same period of the preceding year
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2019 ) :The country's exports to Afghanistan decreased by 24.8% percent during July-March (2018-19) to US $883.26 million against the exports worth $1.175 billion recorded during same period of the preceding year.
The imports from Afghanistan, however witnessed an increase of 22% to $131.68 million in first three quarters of current fiscal year from $107.9 million in July-March (2017-18), according to latest data released by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
On yearly basis, the export of goods to Afghanistan also declined to $105.
96 million in March 2019, against the exports worth of $166.85 million in same month of previous year.
On month-on-month basis, the country's exports to Afghanistan witnessed rising trend as the exports in February 2019 recorded at $100.9 million against the exports of $105.9 million in March 2019.
The imports, On Year-on-year basis, from Afghanistan increased by 84% to $16.9 million in March 2019, against the imports worth of $9.18 million recorded during March 2018.
Similarly on month-on-month basis, the imports went down to $16.013 million in February 2019.
