KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2018 ) :The Chief Spokesman, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), has taken strong note and described as baseless the news appearing in a section of print media on Tuesday about the cancellation of the license of Halal Products and Services Association of Pakistan (HPSAP) by the Directorate General of Trade Organization (DGTO). The news has created doubts on the legality of the present position of Senior Vice President FPCCI, Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir, he said in a statement here on Tuesday.
He clarified that the license of HPSAP was never cancelled and the delay made by the Association in submission of the documents in the DGTO Office for renewal of its license had already been allowed by the Secretary Commerce on May 11, 2018. The name of HPSAP is not included on the list of associations, the licenses of which have been cancelled by the DGTO, he explained further. FPCCI Chief Spokesman also advised media to verify authenticity of any news before its printing.
