Govt Approached IMF To Strengthen Economy: Hammad Azhar

Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar Saturday said the government had approached International Monetary Fund (IMF) to strengthen the country's economy
Talking to a private news channel, he said the economy was left in a fragile condition by the previous governments due to huge burden of loans.
He said there was a dire need to strengthen the economy and the government was taking different effective measures in that regard.
Replying to a question, he said the government had given free hand to State Bank of Pakistan to take measures for stablising the national economy.
He said governor State Bank was a credible and competent person as it was commitment of the PTI government that it would bring credible people to Pakistan from abroad.
