Hong Kong, Shanghai stocks close up

Hong Kong recorded solid gains Tuesday to maintain a recent rally, while Shanghai closed slightly higher despite data showing China's trade growth in July missed forecasts

HONG KONG, Aug 8, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Aug, 2017 ) - Hong Kong recorded solid gains Tuesday to maintain a recent rally, while Shanghai closed slightly higher despite data showing China's trade growth in July missed forecasts.

The Hang Seng Index finished up 0.

59 percent, or 164.55 points, at 27,854.91. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.07 percent, or 2.41 points, to 3,281.87. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.37 percent, or 6.87 points, to 1,879.16.
