Hong Kong, Shanghai Stocks End Morning Higher

HONG KONG, Dec 1, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Dec, 2016 ) - Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks rose Thursday morning with energy firms surging on OPEC's deal to cut oil production, while a better-than-expected reading on Chinese factory activity also provided support.
The Hang Seng Index climbed 0.69 percent, or 156.30 points, to 22,946.07 by the break. And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.52 percent, or 17.05 points, to 3,267.08 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, increased 0.41 percent, or 8.57 points, to 2,115.48.
