Hong Kong, Shanghai stocks rise at open

HONG KONG, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -23rd Sep,2016) - Hong Kong shares built on this week's gains Friday, tracking another rally in New York and Europe after the Federal Reserve's decision not to hike interest rates this month.

The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong added 0.

32 percent, or 76.80 points, to 23,836.60. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was marginally higher, edging up 2.48 points to 3,044.79, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was also slightly up, putting on 1.41 points to 2,019.57.
