HSATI Expresses Reservations Over Closure Of Gas To Industries

The office bearers of Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry (HSATI) have expressed reservations over closure of gas to industries particularly captive power companies.

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Dec, 2018 ) :The office bearers of Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry (HSATI) have expressed reservations over closure of gas to industries particularly captive power companies.

The President HSATI Muhammad Shahid Kaimkhani, Senior Vice Chairman Shuja Razzaq Memon, Vice Chairman Umer Tariq and Patron-in-Chief Mazharul Haq Choudhry said that majority of industrial units in Hyderabad, Kotri, Nooriabad and Karachi have stopped production and manufacturing as these units particularly textile, confectionery, pharmaceutical and tyre manufacturing are dependent on natural gas.

The Prime Minister Imran Khan fully determined to bring the country out from the economic crisis and wanted to boost up the industrial sector with enhancement in exports, but the gas closure to industries particularly the captive power companies could create hurdles in this direction.

They said that industries being operated through captive power companies were playing major role in economic development and contributing huge amount to national treasury in shape of taxes.

They appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan to take serious notice over the closure of gas supply to industrial units and issue directives for its immediate restoration so that the industrialists could be able to operate their industries in smoothly.
