Hyderabad Chamber Of Commerce And Industry Demands Resumption Of Flight Operation From Hyderabad

The office bearers of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry have demanded restarting flight operations from Hyderabad Airport adding that non-availability of air service is creating sense of deprivation among the citizens of Hyderabad particularly the business community
In a joint statement, the President HCCI Muhammad Saleem Shaikh, Senior Vice President Fahad Hussain Shaikh and Vice President Syed Mehmood Iqbal Jaferi said Hyderabad is the second biggest city of Sindh and possessed the status of industrial and agricultural hub of the province.
With the passage of time, the exports from Hyderabad has been enhanced, they said and added that in the year 2016-17, the products of 16.9 million Dollars were exported from Hyderabad to different countries of the world.
As a result of foreign investments in Hyderabad and Kotri industrial areas, the flight operations of Boeing service has become order of the day, they said and added that agriculture produces and fruits particularly mango of Sindhri variety are famous in abroad including UK and UAE.
Due to limited cargo facility for fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport Karachi as well as off loading of shipment following delay in flight, the exporters are suffering heavy financial losses, they said and added that Boeing and Cargo services can be operated from Hyderabad Airport with extension of its runway.
They said that launching of cargo service from Hyderabad Airport will not only enhance the exports of agriculture produces, but the growers could also earn hefty amount of their produces with increase in foreign exchange to the government.
They appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan to issue directives of starting Boeing and Cargo services from Hyderabad so that the business community particularly exporters could take sigh of relief.
