Inflation in Russia to Reach 3.9-4% in 2018 - Economic Development Minister

Inflation in Russia will be 3.9-4 percent in 2018, Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin told reporters on Saturday

"Our forecast is 3.4 percent, it is clear that it does not fit. But the fact that it will be about 3.9-4 percent at the end of the year is what we see now," Oreshkin said on the sidelines of the United Russia party congress.

According to Rosstat, consumer price growth in Russia was 3.4 percent in January-November.

The central bank's inflation forecast for 2018 is 3.8-4.2 percent, the long-term inflation target is about 4 percent.
