Iranian Companies Collaborate To Build Oman Nano City: Official

Iranian companies will construct a hub platform in Oman to pave the way to facilitate the exports of Iranian nano-products to this country, as well as Arab and African markets.
Tehran, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) :Iranian companies will construct a hub platform in Oman to pave the way to facilitate the exports of Iranian nano-products to this country, as well as Arab and African markets.
"We are hosting over 40 countries at the exhibition, including Russia, Bolivia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Oman, South Korea, and Iraq, who are planning to cooperate with Iran in nano-technology," said Saeed Sarkar.
The official made the remarks while visiting the 11th International Nanotechnology Exhibition held in Tehran International Permanent Fairground in the Iranian capital on October 13-16.
He added that delegations from seven countries are to visit the exhibition.
"The countries participate in the exhibition with different intentions, for example, Oman wants Iranian companies to consider this country as a nano-products hub," he added.
He added, "The feasibility studies and design of Oman Nano City has been done so far by Iranian companies with the collaboration of INIC, and the project is planned to be fully implemented by 2023." Sarkar predicted that the project will need at least five years to complete, starting on 2019.
Omani companies have negotiated with 40 of their Iranian counterparts in the margin of the exhibition so far.
He also mentioned the signed agreements and ongoing negotiations with Russia, South Korea, Iraq, and Malaysia in the field of nano-products.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sarkar referred to Iran's $65m revenue of selling nano-products last yearand expressed hope that exports reach at least $110m by the end of current Iranian year(March 20, 2019).
