Kazakh, S. Korean Presidents to Hold Talks in Nur-Sultan Monday - Tokayev's Press Service

NUR-SULTAN (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd April, 2019) SULTAN, April 22 (Sputnik) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will hold later on Monday talks with his South Korean counterpart, Moon Jae-in, who is currently on a working visit to Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kazakh leader has said.

Moon started his three-day working visit to Kazakhstan on Sunday. His talks with Tokayev are scheduled for the second half of Monday, and they will be held in Tokayev's residency in the Kazakh capital of Nur-Sultan, according to Tokayev's press service.

"During the talks, the president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, will discuss with the South Korean leader the current state and the prospects of bilateral relations in politics, trade, the economy, investment and cultural and humanitarian sphere, as well as the pressing issues of the regional and international agenda," Tokayev's press service said in a statement.

Tokayev and Moon are expected to sign a range of bilateral agreements and memorandums, including a renewed cooperation program, entitled Fresh Wind and covering advanced technologies, logistics, industry and agriculture.

During Moon's visit, a Kazakh-South Korean investment forum will be held, which is expected to bring together around 300 representatives of the two countries' business communities. An exhibition of joint investment projects and initiatives on agriculture, digitization and medicine will be held within the forum.

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry has said earlier that Moon also plans to hold a meeting with former Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev.
