Manzoor Malik Takes Over Charge Of FPCCI Regional Office

LAHORE, Jan 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Jan, 2017 ) : Newly elected Vice President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Manzoorul Haq Malik, took over charge of the Federation's regional office here Wednesday.
Addressing the special ceremony arranged in this connection at FPCCI regional office, Patron-in-Chief of UBG (United Business Group) and CEO of TDAP (Trade Development Authority Pakistan) S.M. Muneer said that no corruption had been committed in the FPCCI for last two years, which amply proved UBG seriousness and sincerity towards welfare of the business community.
He added that petroleum prices put negative impact on world's exports including Pakistan, however, early rectification of tax refunds issue would help further enhance country's exports. "The government is cooperating with us on tax refunds.
Our exports are showing a positive trend, which is evident from the fact that country's exports up by six percent in November 2016", he added. While, SAARC CCI Vice President Iftikhar Ali Malik claimed that UBG was voice of business community and its victory in the Federation election this year was the outcome of their dedication.
"We won election of President and Vice President along with eight Vice Presidents seats. UBG will continue to serve the business community in years to come", he maintained. Malik urged the media houses to expand coverage of commerce and business sector as business community was flourishing fast.
He appreciated Mian Rehman Aziz, out-going Vice President of the FPCCI Regional Office Lahore, for his efforts in resolving the business community issues during his tenure in the office last year.
FPCCI Senior Vice President Aamir Atta Bajwa said, "We have vision of growth and prosperity of business community and new office-bearers of FPCCI will put in their full efforts to resolve overdue issues of business community pertaining to customs, smuggling, tax refund and rebate, sales tax and other".
FPCCI Regional Chairman and Vice President Manzoor ul Haq Malik said that FPCCI would prepare a detailed report of issues and concerns of each district of Punjab which would soon be shared with the quarters concerned along with detailed plan of activities.
He added that media was playing very important role in economic wellbeing of the country and they were looking forward for productive inputs of print and electronic media. He said the FPCCI would always remain open for traders and industrialists' service.
FPCCI Vice President Masooma Sibtain said that she would assure participation of all women chambers in the think-tank for economic growth of the country. Mian Rehman Aziz welcomed newly elected office-bearers and thanked UBG leadership for acknowledging his endeavors for the previous year.
A large number of UBG supporters, Executive Committee members and prominent businessmen attended the ceremony.
