MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd January, 2020) Moody's expects new Russian cabinet to continue the previous policy with the focus on GDP growth and social indicators, although the government reshuffle adds some uncertainty over the future economy policy.
The new cabinet was announced Tuesday, roughly a week after then-Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced the resignation his and his government's.
"The abrupt change in government introduces some uncertainty as to the direction of economic policy. That said, statements from both the president and new prime minister suggest that the new administration will maintain the previous government's overall policy direction of aiming to raise economic growth and improve social indicators while maintaining broad macroeconomic stability," the agency said.
