OPEC-Non-OPEC Committee May Meet In November If Necessary - Russian Energy Minister

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd September, 2018) The next meeting of the Joint Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)-non-OPEC Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) depends on the oil market situation and, if necessary, might be held during a conference in Abu Dhabi in November, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on Sunday.

Earlier on Sunday, a source told Sputnik that it was planned to hold the next meeting of OPEC-non-OPEC JMMC in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11.

"Speaking about the possibility of meeting earlier [than in December], we have discussed such a possibility. If the meeting is needed, it might be held at Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference in November," Novak said.

The minister added that the holding of the meeting would depend on the oil market situation.

The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference will be held on November 12-15.
