Palermo Conference Participants Encourage Further Economic Reforms In Libya - Resolution

Participants of Palermo's Conference for Libya support further economic reforms in the country, according to the final resolution of the conference, obtained by Sputnik on Tuesday.
"Participants recalled the economic reform adopted by the Government of National Accord (GNA) and urged to continue moving forward with their implementation [and] welcomed the commitment to further comprehensive monetary and subsidy reforms," the document read.
The participants welcomed accountability efforts made by Libyan financial institutions and stressed the importance of continued fight against corruption in the country.
"Participants ... called for the relevant international organizations to provide the Libyan authorities with expertise and technical support to achieve these goals," the resolution said.
The two-day conference in Palermo was launched on Monday.
