PCDA Announces Support For SBA In SCCI Polls

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Aug, 2024) Former Senior Vice President (SVP) Sarhad Chamber, Provincial Chairman of the Pakistan Chemists and Druggists Association and General Body Member of FPCCI, Muhammad Iqbal Khan has announced joining Sarhad Business Alliance (SBA) here on Friday.

He stated that at present, only the SBA has the capability to restore the credibility of the Sarhad Chamber and the dignity of the business community, while also addressing their issues.

He announced joining SBA during a ceremony wherein he formally announced joining Sarhad Business Alliance a newly formed alliance of the local business community for the upcoming annual elections of the SCCI. Former president of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI) and former Governor KP Haji Ghulam Ali is the Patron-in-Chief while Syed Zahir Ali Shah is Chairman of the alliance.

On this occasion, Haji Ghulam Ali, Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Sharafat Ali, Mubarak, Sirajuddin, and others welcomed him into the fold of the alliance and reiterated their commitment for the restoration of the glory of the chamber.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Iqbal Khan said that for several years, the reputation of the Sarhad Chamber and the dignity of the business community have been compromised by a few individuals for their personal interests, causing the province's premier chamber to lose its significance and leading to a significant increase in community issues.

He added that he and his colleagues have decided to join the Sarhad Business Alliance because the leadership and capabilities that this group possesses are unparalleled in history and unlikely to be matched by any other in the future.

He also noted that the time former Governor Haji Ghulam Ali and Syed Zahir Ali Shah as provincial minister have served the business community without any discrimination.
