Poland Deliberately Escalating Tensions In Russia-Ukrainian Relations - Russian Lawmaker

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th November, 2018) Poland is deliberately escalating tensions in the Russian-Ukrainian relations and fulfilling the US order to prevent launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, Russian lawmaker Frants Klintsevich told Sputnik on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that he would try to persuade Germany of the need to block launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. From his point of view, Russia will attack Ukraine and may seize Kiev after Ukraine loses its role of a key gas transition country, which will happen due to the Nord Stream 2 construction.

"There is clear definition for that: provocation," Klintsevich said adding that the Polish prime minister's remarks were made amid the Russian-Ukrainian tensions in the Sea of Azov and are aimed at the further escalation of tensions.

"At the same time Poland is also fulfilling the order of the United States, which is strongly against the Nord Stream 2," the lawmaker noted.

Klintsevich added that the Russophobia had become a state ideology of Poland.
