WARSAW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd September, 2021) Poland's GDP growth for 2021 is set to exceed the 4% rate earlier predicted and is expected to reach almost 5%, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said.
"The planned economy growth of 4% will be exceeded. It is likely that it will even reach the rate of slightly less than 5%," Morawiecki said at a press conference in Warsaw on Tuesday.
He noted that, currently, the government estimates that the GDP will be around 4.8-4.9%, showing what he called was a "solid growth."
Earlier in the day, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) published an updated economic outlook for the eurozone, according to which the 2021-2022 GDP will increase by 5.3%. In the May forecast, the OECD expected a 4.3% growth.
The OECD also upgraded its forecast for the eurozone's 2022 economy growth by 0.2 percentage points to 4.6%.
