President HCSTSI For Ensuring Transparency Of All Projects Related To Energy

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Aug, 2024) Muhammad Farooq Shaikhani, President, Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry (HCSTSI) has urged the government to ensure transparency of all projects initiated under public-private partnership agreements. He called for regular audits and a robust monitoring system to curb corruption and advocated for the promotion of alternative energy sources, such as solar and wind power.

In a statement on Sunday, the President HCSTSI argued that these measures would help reduce electricity prices and amend policies to eliminate unreasonable conditions, ultimately easing the economic burden.

He asked the government to ensure the transparency of all projects, making decisions with the public interest in mind.

Shaikhani stressed that a strong economy was essential for a strong Pakistan. Therefore, any projects found detrimental to the economy must be reviewed and if necessary, cancelled to protect the nation’s financial stability, he said.
