Rupee Sheds 05 Paisa Against Dollar

Pakistani rupee on Wednesday depreciated by 05 paisa against the US dollar in the interbank trading and closed at Rs 278.73 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.68

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Aug, 2024) Pakistani rupee on Wednesday depreciated by 05 paisa against the US dollar in the interbank trading and closed at Rs 278.73 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.68.

However, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs 279.2 and Rs 280.35 respectively.

The price of Euro decreased by 01 paisa to close at Rs 304.41 against the last day’s closing of Rs 304.42, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese yen also came down by 01 paisa and closed at Rs1.90, whereas a decrease of Rs 1.14 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which traded at Rs353.79 as compared to the last day's closing of Rs354.93.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal increased by 01 paisa to close at Rs75.88 and Rs74.24 respectively.
