BRUSSELS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st January, 2019) At the three-party meeting in Brussels, Russia, the European Commission and Ukraine discussed the growth of Russian gas imports to the EU, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters Monday.

"We discussed the possibilities and transit of gas through Ukraine from January 1, 2020. ...Сonsidering... that gas imports in Europe will grow, only in 2017 we saw a growth of 6 percent. In 2018, there was a significant growth... Therefore, certainly, it is important for us to ensure gas transit and supply to European consumers," Novak said.
