PRAGUE (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th February, 2019) A regular meeting of the Russian-Czech Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation will be held in Prague on March 6, the head of the Russian Trade Representation in the Czech Republic told Sputnik.

"At the meeting in Prague, the last year's results of cooperation between Russia and the Czech Republic will be traditionally summed up, and the prospects for further cooperation between the two countries in the field of economy, industry and trade will be outlined," Sergei Stupar said.

The meeting will be co-chaired by Russian Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov and his Czech counterpart, Marta Novakova, according to the trade mission.

In 2018, the turnover between Russia and the Czech Republic increased by 15 percent year-on-year, reaching almost $10 billion, the head of the Russian Trade Representation noted.

The Russian-Czech Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Industrial and Scientific Cooperation was established in 2005 in order to strengthen economic, industrial and scientific ties between the two countries.
