Russian Economy Ministry Does Not Back Tax Increase For Mining, Chemical Sectors - Source

Russia's Economic Development Ministry does not support Russian presidential aide Andrey Belousov's proposal to increase taxes on the mining and chemical sectors, a ministry source told Sputnik on Thursday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th August, 2018) Russia's Economic Development Ministry does not support Russian presidential aide Andrey Belousov's proposal to increase taxes on the mining and chemical sectors, a ministry source told Sputnik on Thursday.
"The Economic Development Ministry does not support Belousov's initiative," the source said.
Belousov, in a letter to President Vladimir Putin, proposed earlier that the head of state order to increase budget revenues from the mining and chemical sectors' excess profits because they pay lower taxes than oil and gas companies.
