Russian Energy Ministry Expects Gas Output To Exceed 24Trln Cubic Feet In 2018

Russia expects its gas output to surpass 700 billion cubic meters (24 trillion cubic feet) by the end of 2018, Director of the Russian Energy Ministry's Oil and Gas Production and Transportation Department Alexander Gladkov said on Friday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 07th December, 2018) Russia expects its gas output to surpass 700 billion cubic meters (24 trillion cubic feet) by the end of 2018, Director of the Russian Energy Ministry's Oil and Gas Production and Transportation Department Alexander Gladkov said on Friday.
"By the end of 2018, we expect production to exceed 700 billion cubic meters. As for the LNG [ liquefied natural gas] � we will start producing almost 20 million tonnes," Gladkov said at the Russian gas forum in Moscow.
According to the Energy Ministry, a total of 691.1 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in Russia in 2017, which marked a 50.9 billion increase compared to the previous year.
