Russia's GDP Grows By 1.7% In Jan-Oct 2018 - Economy Ministry

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st November, 2018) Russia's economic growth amounted to 1.7 percent in the first 10 months of 2018 year-on-year, the Economic Development Ministry said Wednesday.
"According to the estimate by the Ministry of Economic Development, the GDP growth rate in January-October 2018 was 1.
7 percent year-on-year," the ministry's press service said in a statement.
On Tuesday, the Economy Ministry said in an interim report for November that Russia's GDP growth accelerated to 2.5 percent in annual terms in October from 1.1 percent in September.
Earlier in the day, Russian Accounts Chamber Chairman Alexei Kudrin said that the Russian economy would grow only by 1.6 percent this year instead of the forecasted 2.1 percent.
